HM Prisons
Mercia Partnership delivers learning and skills to inmates at HMP Liverpool and HMP Kennet. In total we have over 850 learners every day, five days each week. The emphasis is on helping people develop the skills that will help them settle back into their community and enhance their employment prospects.
Our aim is to support the government objective of reducing reoffending. To do this, we ensure that our training is well resourced, relevant and is linked to opportunities in the community. The provision is continually expanding covering a wide range of subjects including Skills for Life, ICT, catering, construction skills, art and media and social and life skills. We also provide short courses such as food hygiene certificates, manual handling and health and safety.
