Mercia offers qualifications for people who work as a tutor in an adult education college or in school as a Teaching Assistant.
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS)
As a training provider, we fully understand the need to employ quality tutors with relevant qualifications. Industry regulations regarding training have become more demanding; the need to attain the necessary qualifications has never been greater.
Mercia Partnership offers both PTLLS (Level 3) and CTLLS (Level 4) training qualifications, both of which are extremely relevant depending upon your current or future training role.
Supporting Teaching and Learning
We offer Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications for people who are working as teaching assistants either in a voluntary or paid capacity. The qualifications take you through essential skills such as Communicating with Children, Working as Part of a Team, Preparing Displays as well as vital topics such as Safeguarding Children. Mercia provides a series of workshops to help develop your knowledge as well as undertaking observation of you in the classroom to assess your skills.
These programmes usually last two terms and are provided within a school setting.
