APPRENTICESHIPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Apprenticeships can reap huge rewards for both employers and trainees. As an apprentice, you’ll have the chance to work in an adult environment, gain a recognised qualification and earn a weekly wage. It is often the perfect alternative to an academic route of study – allowing you to focus on developing their hands-on skills alongside theory and basic skills such as literacy and numeracy. Research shows that apprentices earn, on average, over £100,000 more throughout their lifetime than other employees. Apprentices also start work with no student debt. Ultimately, an apprentice will gain knowledge of real life working conditions, earn vital qualifications and money, and mature socially through interaction with adults.Mercia offers apprenticeships for young people in:
•IT Technician Level 2 and Level 3
•IT User Level 2 and Level 3
You can find details about these qualifications by going to Subject Areas.
These are limited in number and we have two intakes each year. If you are interested then email Laura Cahill and we will contact you when our next recruitment opens. laura.cahill@merciapartnership.co.uk
APPRENTICESHIPS FOR ADULTS

Perhaps you have had a change of job role or are taking on new work and feel that training could really help you be more effective. Our adult apprentices work in organisations large and small and our experienced tutors visit you at work on a regular basis to help you build your skills and get qualified. Usually the course runs over 9 - 12 months and over 90% of our adult apprentices are successful. We offer training in:
•IT Technician Level 2 and Level 3
•IT User Level 2 and Level 3
